While Hope was a performer and Associate Artistic Director of STREB Dance Company based in NYC, she designed and directed a program called Kid Action. She created original dances in different communities around the country and internationally. Her Masters in Intercultural Service, Leadership and Management from the School for International Training Graduate Institute has led her to write about the principles of community engagement, exploring the uses of power, dialogue, partnership, aesthetics and transformation to work towards a path of social justice. She has taught language arts and drama to English Language Learners both here and abroad. Born in Lebanon, Hope has lived in Bangladesh, and traveled to Burma, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Nigeria, Gabon and Egypt.
