Indigo Perry

Training Team

Indigo’s service in the non-profit sector spans more than 20 years, and called upon her to be a presenter and trainer to audiences worldwide. But perhaps more importantly, Indigo has a life-long passion for working with youth. She looks back on the positive impact that key adults had on her as a young person, and found that she was often inspired by their kindness, their willingness to listen and also talk “straight”, and their ability to treat kids like real people, in spite of the sometimes vast differences in age. All these experiences shaped Indigo’s relationship to young people, led her to participate in mentoring programs and camps in the United States and Canada, and influence her warm and straightforward training style today.

Indigo was born and raised in Chicago, and has lived in Canada, Hawaii, and the Fiji Islands. She currently lives in California and is passionate about her youth empowerment work with Community Matters and the Safe School Ambassadors program.
