Tisha Marina, BA

Training Team

For as long as she can remember, Tisha Marina has been an agent for social change and justice.  Her advocacy work focuses on ending men’s violence against women, raising women’s self esteem, and encouraging inner city youth to achieve.  Whether designing and implementing after school programs in South Los Angeles, creating and presenting innovative professional development trainings for childcare professionals, or conducting workshops for teen mothers, Tisha’s professional experience since 1992 has been dedicated to social change.

Tisha earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena where she is currently working on completing her Masters in Human Development with a specialization in Social Change and Justice.
In her free time, Tisha enjoys dancing, reading, meditating, art, and connecting with nature.  An avid dancer and hula-hooper, Tisha is a featured artist in the upcoming documentary, www.thehoopinglife.com, a film displaying the tremendous positive influences the hoop has had on people’s lives.

Tisha is tremendously passionate about being a trainer for Safe School Ambassadors. She truly believes world peace must start at home, and it must start with the young people. Fueled by that passion, she is determined to one day win the Nobel Peace Prize!

“Each time a person stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope.”
Robert F. Kennedy
