Better Communication Opens the Door to Prime Performance

Moss Adams LLP, Santa Rosa, California -- Moss Adams LLP, a mid-sized accounting firm with offices in Santa Rosa and San Francisco, was looking for a consulting organization to lead their annual off-site fall staff training. The theme for the day was built around strengthening communication across departments and increasing trust among all employees. After meeting with Art King, managing partner, and discussing the goals for the day Community Matters was contracted to design and facilitate the program.

We developed a series of interactive exercises and role plays which were highly successful in increasing communication skills, including active listening and negotiation, establishing a greater level of trust, clarifying roles and responsibilities and enhancing overall team performance.

Several staff members commented later that the experiences of that day laid the groundwork for building better working relationships with their colleagues, and have given them the tools and 'permission' to 'clear the air' in a productive way when interpersonal difficulties arise.
