Partnerships - everyone knows they're critical. Thousands have been formed all across our country to address issues and resolve problems in education, youth development, law enforcement, prevention, public health, and other areas.

These partnerships always encounter challenges, tough times, and speed bumps that can thwart, stall, or completely derail their efforts. Their success and survival depends on three factors:

1. circumstance and chance
2. skill and knowledge of members
3. the degree of support they have
