Before we can effectively advance a community wide approach that supports raising responsible, resourceful and resilient children, we must establish a shared vision that we are all in this together. We must create a community covenant to address and resolve the complex and sometimes highly charged issues that can separate us. As Buckminster Fuller wrote, "There are no passengers on spaceship earth, only crew".

Through this keynote, we will focus on building community in our neighborhoods, schools, organizations and coalitions. We will explore what each of us can do, formally and informally, to forge trusting, resilient and sustainable relationships.
